Joystiq - Rainbow Moon review: A real grind

Playing the PSN exclusive Rainbow Moon evokes an unusual sort of frustration: it's a victim of wasted potential. This kind of game does a lot of things right, features some neat ideas and fun play elements, but is crippled by one or two major problems – problems so significant that they drag the rest of the product down. All it would take are a couple of fixes to make a great game instead of a merely passable one but, alas, you're stuck with a product that, for everything it does right, is damaged by very obvious flaws.

The story is too old to be commented.

Have people gone soft or do they just like to find things to moan about? Grinding has always been a part of these games and in Rainbow moon it's addictive. this reviewer doesn't know what he's talking about. when you get 30 enemies on screen at once and you are faced with the daunting task of making it out alive, it sits you on the edge of your seat and dares you to be bored. It's so satisfying when you hear the death groans of the various monsters and they leave a nice little parcel behind. And then watching your rainbow pearls clock up after you win is a joy too. Love this game and far more than the measly review here

oh, a disagree. How pitiful

yeah, if I was being really picky then I'd give this game a 9/10. this game deserves your attention. I CAN'T believe that it just cost 10 quid on PSN. I recently played Limbo and was slightly disappointed (good game, don't get me wrong) , but this game is such a JOY. Straight forward, enjoyable, FUN, are just a few of the words I'd attribute to it.

edit: I am hammered and posted in the wrong place! I agree with you YoungKingDoran

agree with the Grunger on this one.
I have seen so many reviews for this game from "reviewers" that have an obvious bias against strategic RPGs, and sometimes they even admit this before giving it an underwhelming score.
a good reviewer's personal taste should not come into it and games should be judged on their own merits.

and okay 3/5 doesnt sound too bad, maybe im being a fanpussy, but this game is better than 6/10.
