Visceral and Frostbite 2 and it's a reboot. I'm liking the sound of that. Lets hope it's good. Even though the games weren't amazing, they were still some very good co-op oriented games.

It is still the same dev team as all the Army of Two games though. That studio was renamed Visceral along with another EA studio. Confusing, yes.

agree with everything you said. id have given the other ones around a 7. very good games with the potential to be amazing and i think with that engine and that dev, it will be just that.

officially on my radar

Yea might keep my eye on this.
I actually enjoyed the first Army of Two game.

Love me some Army of Two... fun co-op... simple blow s#!t up gameplay. I like the idea of "a more mature, grittier tone" too.

I want to know if we will see a version for the Vita, like we did with Army of Two: 40th day for the PSP. I loved both games even the laggy MP for the 40th day. Some of the hiccups worked in my favor.

Why reboot a series that wasn't that old to begin with? I kind of liked the original characters.
ChocalateDog203  +   295d ago
I think after The 40th Day a reboot is the best path.

Why not, the first two games of the series weren't all that amazing.
adamant715  +   295d ago
Would've made more sense to wait next-gen imo

Nice i'll be looking forward to this.

Oh, awesome! Another game that 13 year olds will play because it has guns, violence, and is "mature." Of course, maturity in video games only means lots of violence and too much cursing to the point that the game turns into a joke! Rock on, video game industry!
Lord_Sloth  +   295d ago
Maturity tends to equate to boobs being shown as well.
hellzsupernova  +   295d ago
tehy get THREE army of two games out there but can only get one mirrors edge CMON EA drum the shooter genre into the ground don't support a new refreshing IP that shouldve been an incredible series

milk milk milk. Give us something new for fucks sake!!!
SpecialK  +   295d ago
Cool, I remember playing this a little with a friend a couple times.

Just seemed like good shoot em up fun without being bogged down by some kind of end of the world story (correct me if im wrong on that)
Megaton  +   295d ago
You sure they're not just renaming Dead Space 3?
KaBaW  +   295d ago
Awesome. While not the greatest games, it seems to be one the better straight up co-op games.
Hopefully this turns out to be the best in the installment, yet. Excited for upcoming news.

The best part about AO2 was the banter & rants of Salem,Rios. hope these two new characters bring that back
