RipTen Review: Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (3DS)

The Kingdom Hearts franchise has certainly experienced its ups and downs, and while certain problems have plagued the series since its onset, the spirit of the franchise has returned in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. As a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the original game, the handheld offering returns Sora and Riku in fine form despite the occasional frustrations along the way.

The story is too old to be commented.

I stopped with the Kingdom Hearts series after part 2 on the Playstation 2, but I've been meaning to get back into it. I might just pick this one up when I get my 3DS.

I'm in the same boat, but haven't been able to get back in. The general consensus on the DS games seems to be "they suck" every time I ask, people generally seem to like the PSP game, but Square Enix hates digital distribution so that's out for me, and this new game has been getting very mixed reviews and had an -awful- demo, so...

Yeah. For a game with such a "light" premise, Kingdom Hearts has become fairly inaccessible.
