Nintendo 3DS vs Nintendo 3DS XL - A Detailed Comparison [Nintendo Invader]

If you think the Nintendo 3DS XL is just a 3DS with bigger screens, think again. The 3DS’s first reiteration offers a plethora of small tweaks and improvements over the original model which you may not have noticed; allow Nintendo Invader to take you through the finer details of Nintendo’s new handheld in comparison with the original Nintendo 3DS. Most gaming consoles, handheld or home, tend to be fairly well built.

Off the top of my head, I can only think of two exception in the past 20 years, and neither one belongs to Sony (or Nintendo).

...

I have heard some worrisome things. That the speaker quality is inferior to the regular 3DS--which, aside from the poor bass, had some REALLY good speakers. Loved that whole "simulated surround sound" thing.

And I've also heard that the 3D effect is less pronounced, and that the "ghosting"--while occurring less frequently than on the normal 3DS--is much, much worse when it does occur.

It's not enough to make me cancel my purchase, but it -is- enough to make me hold on to my old 3DS for a bit longer. Just in case.

For some period of time this month, I'll have a black wii, a white wii, a gameboy color, a DS lite, a DSiXL, a 3DS and a 3DS XL at the same time.

I plan on building a nice little tower.

I'm excited for this one; I'll sell my current 3DS for this if it's true the 3D effect is improved -it's currently useless to me since I can't use it for more than a few minutes without it hurting my vision.
