We at CAPCOM Conglomerate have sat down and talked to our fellow associates at SquareEnix about the importance of Milkin...I uh, mean broadening a beloved franchise for years to come. Enjoy.
What I find infuriating is that the fans don't seem to acknowledge that there are more than one core development team at Square (& various Directors). X-2, XIII & XIII-2 were all directed and developed by Motomu Toriyama and his Team. They are completely separate from Ito's team (VI, IX & XII) and again from Nomura's team (Vs. XIII & Kingdom Hearts).
It's not Enix that caused the demise of Square. The team behind VII, VIII & X is just not the same since Hironobu Sakaguchi left and Yoshinori Kitase took to the producers seat. Toriyama just doesn't have what it takes to please those fans, and I am sure come the next round for that team they will get someone else in.
I personally did not like XIII, but greatly enjoyed XIII-2. As the coming project should not affect the development of either XV or vsXIII I am happy to see the Lightening Saga to its due conclusion.
Thank you Judas-savior for actually being intelligent and not just assuming that SE has 500 people working on one game. They have many different teams. They do have the capabilities to work on multiple games at once. Its just for some reason they announced Versus way too early and they took forever to really get into the development.

It will be announced and all they'll keep saying untill it's released is "We listened to fan feedback to improve the game" when really they havent it's just PR bullcrap to make it look like they actually care about fans. I think FF13-2 fixed a couple of issues but it was still terrible, I mean honestly anything released after FF13 is going to look like an improvment.
Fans want Versus or FF15
The majority of us don't care about FF13s universe
We don't care about the horrible characters
We don't care about Lightning story because sh'es bland and boring
We don't care about the battle system...you can't polish a turd.
When will they listen, I mean didn't FF13-2 sell poorly anyway ?
1. I care about some of those "horrible characters". 2. I care about Lightning story. 3. I LOVE the battle system. It's fluid, even though it has some flaws, which they still haven't addressed.

And though I was largely indifferent to Lightning post 13's release and direct disappointment towards the game, by this insistence or inability not simply move on has made me come to loathe the bitch. Her and her sister.
I just wanted a decent RPG on the PS3. Stupidly expected it. Something to justify HD consoles much like FF7 justified the PS1 and voices - sort of - justified FFX and the PS2. And still other titles justified it.
hmm wow, they JUST started? That actually changes a lot. I actually don't think this is XIII-3 now as we thought of it. If it was they wouldn't have just recently started. The Development would've began right after XIII-2's if it was.

Yeah but some people do want FF13-3. Just because you don't want it doesn't mean other people dont. As much as I want to see a whole new FF I still want to see what happens to Lightning. It would be unfair to everyone not to do a FF13-3.
Does anyone really care about Final Fantasy XIII? Not meaning to be a dick but I think Final Fantasy lost a lot of what made it great this generation of video gaming.
not saying they dont count, but it shows that final fantasy in current form appeals little to the rest of us. theres more gamers in usa, europe, and the rest of the world then just one island sir.
look up the sales history of final fantasy, for the most part usa was the highest buyer of the franchise, europe was up there too. theyve lost our attention..thats why sales arnt near what they used to be. what they need is real time combat! ill keep saying this again and again. fan boys go somewhere and dust off your old ps2, ps1, snes if you want turn based.this is what me and the majority are waiting for, real time combat...ffvsxiii will bring back the franchise.
Square loves to live in their own little fantasy world where they have no care at all what consumers think. If they keep going down this line, sooner or later theyre going to become bankrupt.
SE, it wouldn't hurt to conduct a survey based on the interest of your products so that you may gather enough evidence about the demands of yet another title under the FF13 umbrella; personally, I'd rather stay in the rain, til FFvs13 comes out, even if waiting that long will cause me bronchitis lol.
XIII-2 ended with "to be continued" this was obvious. Regardless of the hate the XIII series gets I like it so I welcome XIII-3. Ill admit that square needs to have their priorties in order VersusXIII I await a TGS annoucnement. Who knows maybe Square will release XIII-3 and Versus XIII in the same year 2013. Get it XIII?
