What about the console version of patch 1.7 for Skyrim?" (PC, PS3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Xbox 360)

Oh well that's awesome for Steam users. Looking forward to it coming next week.

its amazing that broken games like skyrim and fallout can sell millions yet still get great scores from reviews. yet other games like alpha protocol where there are some issues are 5/10

bathesda needs to hire some people who know how to develop games without bugs and gaming breaking, game freezing etc,,,,

Platinum'd Skyrim the other day on PS3 in 280 hours. It is far from how you describe it.
I had less issues with Skyrim than I did with GTAIV, RDR, and Dragon Age.

It's pretty good. I don't think it's the best but it's an alright game.

really than you must be the lucky one because everyone else had major issues, Bathesda even stated the ps3 version needed more polish time

stop kidding yourself man from fallout 3 to new vegas to skyrim why is that such an amazing publisher/developer can't out a finished product out?

so no 1.6 for ps3... and I'm guessing that it's going to be in the 1.7 patch... I hope

Maybe. This update seems like its mostly for Kinect.

"As for PS3 players, features included in the 1.6 title update, like Mounted Combat, will be included in 1.7."

According to the article that is.

I don't think so. It looks like it will take them a lot longer. Even Oblivion didn't have this many problems.

This is N4G, if people aren't complaining they don't know what to do with themselves. lol
Irishguy95  +   298d ago
Have you tried the Ps3 version? I'm sure that's what he's talking about/

Bethesda and Sony just don't mix

well he said "Game will reach playable state by the end of year !" He didnt say game will be playable on Ps3 by the end of the year. So idk

The game was perfectly playable on PS3. I didn't have any trouble getting the platinum trophy for it. I also had no trouble clocking 100 hours in the game and completing just about all the quests.
humbleopinion  +   298d ago
It was pretty much playable by the end of last year. It didn't crash on me for over 100 hours of playtime after the second patch - and I can hardly even recall other games which were worth 100 hours of playtime. No wonder it topped the GOTY charts.
it is playable! Oh ps3?

Skyrim 1.7 + EnB 1.7 is awsome.

By the time PS3 gets a working update, Elder Scrolls 6 will be out. And still broke as hell. Ho Ho Bethesda, you really try my patience.

Bethesda games are good but they are always so buggy.Half the time I buy their games and expect to find no disc, just a cockroach with 'Bethesda' printed on its ass.

At least the cockroach will run smoothly.

Bethesda can seriously suck my @$$, they're treating ps3 players like unwanted orphans and for what reason? What can they possibly hope to gain by screwing loyal customers?
pumpactionpimp  +   298d ago
Although I understand the way you feel, you could look at it as maybe they found so many problems in the ps3 version, that they're still working at it, and rather than giving you a half done patch, they're cramming it all into a big update. Console submissions take time to get approved.

On the pc, no checks and balances for an update is a blessing, and a curse. Sometimes you get a great patch, sometimes they break the game worse.
ab5olut10n  +   298d ago
Yeah, I was a little over the top. But Bethesda knew there were issues with the ps3 version and lied about it. My trust in them has been completely annihilated at this point, so them jerking us around with Dawnguard just seems like more of the same a-hole behavior. If they would just come out and say "we have trouble developing for ps3" I would understand and respect that.
Dead_by_Dawn  +   298d ago
So that says it all. Updates/certification process, takes at least a week or two to certify. Looks like ps3 players can expect dawnguard two weeks into august. Bethesda you fuckin trolls can kiss my ass
