Halo 2 offered a shift in direction that i didnt comprehend at the time. going from an isolated ring to a full background of covenant theology was unique gaming experience. i dont feel the story line has ever felt "watered down" just a consistant evolution . however i would like to note one thing that bungie did terrible was handling the cannon in a straight line respect however that can be rebuttled if you look at the way star wars was handled. back to your issues. I think 343 has tons of talent to bring forth Halo 4's Max Hoberman did work for halo,halo 2 , call of duty black ops and world at war. So i do believe the user interface as well as multiplayer is still halo even if you havent watched any of H4's multiplayer. Frank O'Conner has been with bungie since halo 2 .. So that guy has tons of information on how to keep the Halo Legacy in tact.. Doubts about Halo being ran by a different studio should be put to rest just by those two figures right there.
yeah. the bulk of 343's talent comes from people that Microsoft bought out from Bungie in the first place.... people keep thinking, well 343 isn't bungie.... People, It's mostly Bungie with a new name and some different people....
