Final Fantasy XIV will begin to ‘integrate” the PS3 in October, beta planned for November

Square Enix unveiled the much anticipated redesign of Final Fantasy XIV this week, now called ‘Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’. With the announcement came a treasure trove of future concept-art, new upcoming content and technical improvements.

To guide existing players through the new design of Final Fantasy XIV, the developers have listed a wealth of information on the project. One of the top subjects on PS3 players minds, is when they will be able to get their hands on the game. (Final Fantasy XIV, PC, PS3)

You are releasing the game this late?
Should be having the beta by September

We will see if Naoki Yoshida was able to resurrect this game from the depths of mediocrity to something at least resembling a good game. So far that CG trailer for the game does not really spark confidence if this game will be better than it was before. If they showed some gameplay that would have probably alleviated some of the doubt.

too little too late . I wont buy it unless the improvements are enough to give it a score of 90 or higher after a year of reviews

I agree here, I mean I am happy that this will land on PS 3 cause it is another option, but it better be damn good for me to put time into it

No ones gonna buy it unless it has free online play.

Buying a second copy for the lady friend so we can play around before the 2.0 update.

FFXI didn't have a massive community either but it's still moving along. Not every MMO needs 5 million+ subs to be considered a success.

I'm definitely not jumping on the bandwagon of this game until there is widespread proper feedback.

With that said, it'd be great if it was good (which it may not be in the end sadly), all the FF fanservice they've shown almost convinced me to go buy the PC version.

they should do final fantasy 14 like DC universe and have different subscription types in the store like as an example (1 month for this much or a year for this much) if they were to implement that into the PlayStation's store I would pay money then, quite honestly would be a much better solution as if you miss a month you could always get a game card and put purchase another month but we'll see what they have in store when it's released for the ps3
