The Best PlayStation All-Star Matchups

RealityPales.org writes: The recently announced Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale raises a number of questions. Can it mimic the success that Nintendo has found with Super Smash Bros? Will it find equilibrium among fan favorites from a 17 year history? And why does Sony insist on slapping their cross-property efforts with such generic names? I never even stopped to think about possible GTA characters making a third party appearance. That would be pretty neat to see Tommy make the cut. So long as they don't forget about Snake and Crash!

As cool as it *would* be, I just don't think it's realistic. I mean, they are just average guys. I don't think you could possibly balance them well with the likes of Kratos, Cole, or Jak, etc. Granted, I know Nathan Drake is just a regular guy too... but come one, he's a total ninja. Plus over 100 awards winning IP and all that.

GTA isn't however a Sony IP. You can't honestly say that ANY GTA character deserves a spot more than Nathan Drake.

The GTA franchise has done more for PlayStation than Uncharted has, I'd say. PS2 era GTA titles eclipse Uncharted in sales. The series was more synonymous with the PS2 than even MGS.

I never said a GTA character should be in before Drake. But don't shrug off GTA characters simply because they are "average" guys. There's nothing "average" about what that franchise did for PlayStation.
