Breaking the Gender Barrier in Gaming

Gamer Living's Cassandra Marshall offers some perspective of the issues that female gamers face in the gaming community. (Culture)

Here's my advice to female gamers. Stop identifying yourself as female gamers.

See Ladies, I actually view you as my equal. Not as a woman, not as a girl, but as just another gamer. Every time you cling to the "female gamer" label you are only segragating yourselves from the rest of the community. It's not your gender that matters, but the fact that you enjoy gaming just like the rest of us.

And to hell with anyone who argues against the tastes of another gamer, be they male of female. When it comes to personal opinions on the quality of a game, there is no right or wrong, only your own opinion.
