If SWTOR is Sinking, Why Are Credits Prices Rebounding?

Some say Star Wars the Old Republic is in the throes of decline. The sci-fi MMO is losing subscribers in double-digit rates, its core developers are being laid off, and its veteran executive producer has recently pressed the self-eject button. And all those setbacks happened just in the last three months. (PC, Star Wars:The Old Republic)

Regardless of how you look at it, SWTOR didn't mean expectations. Most MMOs would be happy with SWTOR's current retention rate but most MMOs don't have Bioware, EA and a Star Wars license to back them up.

Galaxies was more popular I believe. I think EA/LA have just learned what doesn't work. They will try again with the license even if the close TOR there will be another Star Wars MMO. I suspect Free to play is the first option though.

Just like the LEGO MMO crashing and now its getting a new MMO game for attempt number 2.

I'd buy kotor III if it followed the two previous titles, but they thought it would be more profitable with an mmo. Serves them right..
