Halo 4: 5 Things 343 Industries Simply Can’t Do If They Expect Success
Yahoo - For almost 11 years now the Halo series has been one of the top games of the first person shooter category. From Halo: Combat Evolved to Halo Reach, Bungie delivered entertainment without limit.
(Halo 4, Xbox 360)
1. The Covenant are in the game but its a faction of them, so not all of the ex-covenant are still evil
2. Halo 4 pretty much already has more customization than previous Halo games.
3. Forge has been confirmed in since Halo Fest at PAX last year and they even showed it off at RTX
4. We already know why the humans and Forerunner are tied together, I don't think we will see any alive Forerunner other than the Ur-Didact (revealed in Silentium) due to the high possibility of Faber transferring their consciousness into machines like he did with Chakas
The Saber mission felt like a huge cocktease on the part of Bungie in Halo: Reach. Not only is that level the only time you use the vehicle, but it's the only part of the game where you see space combat. It'd rather they have not put it in the game to begin with.
I really loved it, it was a nice change of pace. After all, how many FPS games deliver actual space combat missions? I wouldn't mind seeing something extended in a future game, perhaps not halo 4 but some other game which will include a free roaming section (similar to the hub in ODST, or the aerial mission) only with space combat and landing on various planets with linear missions.
Forge is Halo 4 looks better than forge in Reach/ Halo 3. More options such as affecting player speed, gravity, etc. in certain "areas" on the map and there are also better ways to put things together. This forge looks better, so don't remove it.
I don't care about space combat too much, but I'd take some aerial combat over Requiem. Imagine driving or being the gunner on a pelican in a mission.
Plus this guy clearly has no idea how huge the forge community is, even the developers say that they will see custom maps that blow them away. It would be stupid to get rid of a huge part of the game that a lot of people enjoy.
Ok this is a terrible article 1. It has been 4 years between halo 3 and halo 4 not 7 and the jackals are in the game as well. 2. Customization has been improved making your spartan really yours with tons of armour colours and skins. 3. Forge was announced and im pretty sure before it was shown they said it wouldn't be removed and it has been improved greatly from Reach. 4. can't say anything on this one. 5. Imo it wouldn't be that big of a deal since I had forgotten that mission.

5. They can absolutely leave space combat out.
