GR: "The developers of Assassin's Creed 3 have gone into some depth about the game's New York setting, in which a part of the game takes place."
(Assassin's Creed III, PC, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)
Why can't developers leave a little something for the gamer to discover? Why do they feel the need for this sort of exposure to the masses when their game has generated greater anticipation than the rest of the competition for this fall? Just look at GTA5, we barely have a trailer and a few screenshots and there is just as much talk.
idk a lot of people seem to ask for this kind of information and i guess they just decide to give it to them as long as its not a major impact on the story like the American killing gstuff which ive been saying in every trailer is most likely related to a major part of the story so they wouldn't show it and people didn't believe me Q.Q and low and behold after the rise trailer one of the developers said its a big part of the story they cant reveal.
Same here, I go straight to comments. There are few game developers that leave it up to the player to discover like Rockstar, Valve, and I'd like to include Nintendo.
Disyland?? So you go with load screen what a dump thing to do travel to one city to another something we all love in games aka skyrim fallout gta etc.....
Have to disagree with you. The ability to run from Boston to New York in 5 minutes would totally ruin the realism that AC strives for. You couldn't travel across Italy in AC2, but you could explore outside the cities to a certain degree and I expected the same for AC3. In AC1 you could ride a horse to other cities but that was time consuming and frustrating so I'm glad they aren't going that route.
Why don't you just show a little self restraint and refrain from looking at these articles?
They are here for those that want to spoil themselves, while those who don't, simply don't have to click on the links.
And I've lost interest in Grand Theft Auto 5 because of the lack of anything. I expected something at E3 like a trailer or some gameplay, but ended up disappointed. Now I don't really care about it. I'm sure I will when they actually show something though.
"For that reason, Ubisoft Montreal decided to keep the cities separated with load screens with most of the action in New York happening only in the densest part of the city rather than its surrounding, swampy outskirts."

They do these press releases for people who want more information. If you don't want more information, don't read them.
That's a bummer...
