Carmack's [VR] Vision of the Future | Gamereactor UK

GR-UK met with John Carmack and tried out his futuristic VR helmet.

"Then two things happen: an Imp spawns to my right, and I swing my whole body - shoulders following head, knees partially bending to carry the weight shift - towards it as I snap the gun up and start to fire. Post-game I'm told some other players never used the right stick on the pad at all. It's too ingrained for me, so I juggle both standard camera control and my head movements for precision shots." (Doom 3 BFG Edition, E3, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

I wish one of the big boys, ie MS or Sony would run with this. Imagine a 1080p screen and a next gen console game and a pair of these beasts. Wow!

Mind you, you would look like a prize dick lol.
