The Walking Dead: Episode 1- A New Day Review (Modojo)

Chris Buffa (Modojo): It took a few months, but Telltale's The Walking Dead: Episode 1- A New Day finally shambled to iPhone and iPad, and it's every bit as good as the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC version, more or less. Based on Robert Kirkman's grisly comic book series, the five-part episodic adventure chronicles the lives of Lee Everett and his new friend, a young girl named Clementine. The different characters you meet and how you interact with these virtual people is what makes the story especially interesting, as it works in a sort of Choose Your Own Adventure format, where you can change the plot (however slight) by carefully choosing responses and making life-altering decisions. Oh yes, and there are quite a few undead wandering about, and the scenes involving these infected folks are among the goriest you'll see in a video game. (iPad, iPhone, The Walking Dead - Episode 1) 4.5/5
