Planetside 2 launches Beta and new CGI trailer

I was really surprised myself by the quality of the CGI, makes you wonder when we might see an animated film/short film done by a video game studio to promote their franchise.

You have not paid attention to Halo much have ya. They are doing this for the Halo 4 launch with a short live action/cgi film.

I do agree though this looks awesome. I can't wait to jump into battle.

I thought it was live action with a CG blend, isn't it? What I mean is a top tier animated film ie. like in this trailer, Blizzard cinemantics or the Assassin's pre rendered bits.

There actually was an animated short to hype up AC:Revelations, but it was "cartoony". I really want to see something as detailed as these cinematics/trailers, that'd be awesome :)

Unless something like that exists, then please direct me to it :D

The sign up for beta page was working yesterday , didn't play the original planet side though but managed to get signed up , doubt ill get in at this stage , a friend of mine on steam got in , lucky man xD

bullcrap! that was a badass trailer. that guy taking down ships and people in what? under a minute and the scale of the whole battlefield was huge.
