As of late I’ve noticed a growing trend. It is a trend that makes me suspicious and skeptical at the same time. I’m sitting in front of my TV, weapon selected, timer is counting down, and my waypoints are clearly marked on the map. My squad leader is calmly and effectively communicating our strategy. Focused now, readying for the sprint. Then it happens; a girl’s voice reverberates through the mic and into my ear. I am instantly demoralized.

Only now I decided to put this article in the news section as an Opinion piece. Definitely not my intention to recycle material.
I did want to see how it did Temperature wise, though. It's not duplicate material on News section so I'm definitely trying to follow n4g guidelines and be a good member of the gaming community.

Not to be a PC Elitist but "YOU CONSOLERS" gotta treat your Female Gamers better.
Don't just sit there laughing or doing nothing while some clown makes a bunch of "Stupid Comments" towards a Female gamer. Many Fem console gamers play online muted cause they don't want to endure the harassment from clowns and that is NOT right.
Stand up for female Gamers and educate the losers and Jerks to NOT mistreat female gamers because they are GAMERS like us and we need to stay a good community of like minded people where Race, Religion, Sex, Sexual preference, etc. DOES NOT MATTER! Only Gaming Skill and Knowledge of the Industry matter!
Sure every now and then some N0ob will make a joke about a PC Female Gamer but then that jerk is quickly kicked off the server. Female PC Gamers have a forum, a voice, a large community, their own servers, Clans, shows on Twitch.TV, they have RESPECT and POWER. They are our equals and many of them are dam good cause they are after all GAMERS.
I just saw a show where Mrs. Violence had a Q&A with that Idiot Joe Peacock who wrote that stupid CNN article about Comic Con. Mrs.Violence and other female Gamers voiced their opinions about his stupid article and he even apologized and became properly informed about female Gamers and Gamers in general.
This is the level Female console gamers should be at and not just corporate sponsored Fem Gamers like the Frag Dolls but all Fem Console Gamers and it's up to the male console gamers to stop putting female gamers down.
* I know not all male console gamers are jerks and many of you treat Fem Gamers equally so thank you!!*
I don't blame them but the more they make their voices heard the less "weird" it is when you do hear them.

I hear plenty of male voices online who are terrible at the game and/or annoying. I hear women online who are terrible and/or annoying as well, but I also hear them and notice they are doing pretty damn good, even great. No matter how good they're playing, when they speak up they're more likely to be hit on or griefed than treated like a member of the team. That needs to stop, but it probably won't anytime soon because of people like yourself. The moron majority will always be a problem.
One of my friends usually plays the recon class and she use's the MP7 w/Suppressor (Anyone who plays BF3 knows the MP7 almost requires E-mags to be a good weapon). She never dies some games because the opposing players never see her.
All she needs to beat anyone is a motion sensor, a silenced automatic weapon and somewhere to hide and just like that you wont beat her. You can accuse her of camping but shes kicking your ass!
She will never speak outside of party chat though which is a shame. This is because many players use the "you must like bushes" line when she's playing (im sure you get it too). Personally think Xbl and PSN need to have a system to stop sexist attacks on people.
The reason you don't hear female gamers is that they don't often talk much because there sick of being cut down or being "HIT" on! I have heard this happen plenty of times and find it rude.
As the author of this story said the term "Gamer knows NO age or gender". I truly hope that the author discovered a new found resepect for a fellow gamer reguard less of what there gender or age was.
I hope he sent her "friends Request" or in the least a PM saying that they were a "Team player" and that they enjoyed playing on the same squad with her for being as such!
