Is Notch Starting to Help the Next Generation of Indie Developers?

Notch is really beginning to sound like an innovator much like Gabe Newell. However, the Minecraft guru isn't ready to back Steam or Valve. Is Notch going to evolve gaming? (Android, Gabe Newell, iPad, iPhone, Minecraft, PC, PS Vita, PS3, Steam, Valve, Xbox 360)
