Pikimal: A Story About My Uncle Review-Byte – A Simple Tale

Pikimal: A Story About My Uncle is a simple first person platformer about a boy’s search for his uncle. Don’t be deceived by this premise though, as the game, designed by a team of students from Södertörns Högskola’s game development program, is surprisingly fun–if a little simplistic. The requirements were to “make a non-violent, first-person game in the Unreal Engine.” The game is quite an impressive feat, considering this was the first time these students had used Unreal Engine and that this is essentially a school project.
