Halo 4: Limited Edition Console Sound Effects

Major Nelson's latest podcast reveals the exclusive sound effects for Halo 4's Limited Edition Console - they can be heard at 1:09:44. Or you can simply play the youtube video below.

The first sound occurs every time the Xbox's power button is pressed. The second audio snippet will be heard every time the eject disc button is used. Both sounds were created by the audio team at 343 Industries and represent some kind of 'Promethean technology'. (Halo 4, Xbox 360)

Count me in, I've been neglecting my old xbox 360 since i got my PS3, mainly because i got the arcade version with little memory and no wifi.

I will get this on launch day!

That's cool. I didn't know they had sound effects.

Yep all the newer special edition ones do, gears, halo reach, the star wars one, I think even the cod ones do too

I'd love to get one of those but 1. I already have an S version Xbox and 2. Microsoft is most likely going to announce the 360 successor at E3 next year and it would be dumb to blow a ton of money on a new 360 that will go obsolete within the next two years anyway -- two years being the most optimistic.

But damn... I want one sooooo bad. :(
