Even at that price I don't want to pick up ff13-2, there are other great games at about the same price. And I was willing to give the game a chance but not after what I've played of it; not for me.

I was a fan of both Daggerfall and Morrowind, but disliked the series from Oblivion on.
It's all personal opinion and what you are looking for in the games.
Thirteen and it's sequel have the fans as split as they were with 12, a game I actually enjoyed and consider my favorite. Different mechanics and approaches to game design garner different feelings and opinions.

Squaresoft was my absolute favorite developer, but they seem to have lost talent and priorities after merging with Enix and stepping into this gen.
Squaresoft were damn near incapable of making a bad RPG game let alone a bad FF game.
But the quality is disappearing.
True fans recognized FF XIV was an abomination, not just haters.
Even SE admitted they released a craptacularly broken game, and have been working hard to fix it.
And here's where SE admitted to horribly mismanaging their time and workforce during the development of FF XIII, so they couldn't even properly playtest the game until too late in development.
Lol what? I'm a "true FF fan" and I won't continue to blindly support SE after FF13 and FF14. What the FF series doesn't need is blind fanboys ramming SE regardless of the quality of their products.
It has nothing to do with being a fan or a hater, it's about being a gamer and enjoying the mechanics of a game. I don't find the gameplay appealing at all and if only the story was there to carry me through. I played several hours of it and it didn't feel satisfying. SE will be supported once it releases a quality RPG, not based on "fandom."
lol are you not familiar with the concept of a "sequel" it's obviously the same because a lot of people bought it that they make the same game with the same gameplay except it's usually a different environment and maps usually they expand on the gameplay a little as well but not too much.
Why do people complain when a game sequel is the same as it's predecessor if you want a different experience buy a different game. seriously facepalm.
Same game? The campaign was the largest of the series, they added Beast Mode, dedicated servers, prestiges, new weapons, the best game mode (Team Death Match) in the whole series, they improved Horde mode.
Uncharted 3 was lame! Pretty much the same game as the second.

Gears 3 improved upon everything from its predecessors, just like Uncharted 3 did. Neither game had absolutely huge changes from the previous entries in their respective franchises, but they did take everything from the previous games and improved upon them in every single aspect.
