I never looked at it like delaying the next gen was making gaming stale. I just didn't want to have to buy another console! I don't have the money!

You can hook up a pc to your tv via hdmi and connect a wireless controller. Not very hard.

Why does everyone think consoles are gonna end? I think consoles will always be around since some people who just casually play games wouldn't wanna spend alot of money on a PC. Consoles are simple and easy to use.

And THATS the biggest misconception about PC gaming. You don't HAVE to spend a fortune to game on a PC. You can build your own PC, that plays every game currently on the market on its highest settings, for about $800. The problem is that your average consumer isn't saavy enough to do it.

What people don't realize is that buying a decent gaming PC from an established retailer like Bestbuy or Amazon will ALWAYS be an expensive endeavor because they will convince you that you need things that you really don't. Alienwares for example are a ripoff. Their expensive only due to their name..much like Apple.

Btw, your forgetting that there are more PCs in households than there are consoles. Its only a matter of upgrading something that you ALREADY own.

Im not a saavy tekhead, and 800$ is still alot of money- i spent 1400$ on my PC 4 years ago and its now outdated. Your right, i could have spent half that amount and got it built but alas i dont how to do thatt.

Consoles are simple and easy to use. I pay 400$ and thats it i use it for 5 years+.

^^Both of you make valid points. Consoles ARE still cheaper, however, consider the fact that more can be done with a PC than a console such as
efficient web surfing/email, creating documents
,deep photo editing etc.

And you also have to consider Steam. The deals on there are incredible. Hopefully it comes to consoles one day.

Consoles will always be around in a fashion. I don't see how with bandwidth caps and speed issues how it could be any other way.

I see both options being offered, but I think it'd be foolish to cut out people just because they want a physical product.

I'm hoping things turn around for all and in a few years we are rocking some excellent titles on the Wii U and next gen Microsoft and Sony platforms! Gotta keep it positive ;7 Lots of cool tech out there with talented devs behind it.
