GotGame: In this week's edition of Buy or Sell, we discuss whether or not we're excited about Ouya, if Nintendoland should be bundled with the Wii U, if Sleeping Dogs looks awesome and more.
Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."
You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is
That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.
Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
From systems that could keep your beer cool, to oddities trying to get in on the popularity of VHS and laserdisc, you’ve got some very, very weird video game consoles out there.
I had the LaserActive... it was a nice collectors piece but not very practical. Especially when it came to needing recapping. I think i paid all of about $50 for the floor model from an incredible Universe back in the day. I ended up selling it many years later for $300 at the time due to it needing a new laser and the aforementioned recapping.
An honorable mention not on the list would be the VM Labs Nuon. It basically looked like any regular DVD player but it had ports on it for controllers to play specific games. one of which is still exclusive to it with Tempest 3000. It also offered nuon enhanced DVD movies with extra content not accessible by regular players.
The past few years have seen some excellent open-world titles on top of the existing classics. Here are some of the very best that you should play.
watching the video is better then going through 31 pages of gamingbolt.
Do they explain in the video why there are two numbers 3? Starfield and Tears of the Kingdom?
Not excited for this "Ouya" until I see something for it.
Nintendoland in my opinion should be bundled.
Not really interested in Sleeping Dogs.
and DAMN IT! BF3 only came out so many months ago.
OUYA smells of a scam from all angles. If the devs don't bolt off to old Mexico the second their kickstarter closes, I will be shocked out of my shoes!
OUYA is a joke tbh in my opinion all you hear is its made millions blah blah blah....it has 42k backers blah blah blah 8gb flash drive shit not even one top quality game can go it
wait but we have minecraft.. which is already on every other platform
"If you don’t make games yourself, or prefer more than the standard Angry Birds faire that you get from Android games, then this system is not for you."
Now i see comment's like these:
"8gb flash drive shit not even one top quality game can go it "
So by both these statement's
Im hearing:
A) there is really no games for Android that are nothing more than Angry Birds fare.
B) Not even one top quality Game can go on it.
How is this not better than Angry Birds?
https://play.google.com/sto...
or this:
https://play.google.com/sto...
And both of those will fit on Less than 8 GB worth of space so if those are no longer top notch Games than what is a top notch Game?
just because their Older games, would not make them anyless of a good Game. The very Fact the OUYA can run both of these games without a hick up and even with upgraded visuals over the PS2. the funny thing is This:
Quote:
"it will be nothing more than a glorified cell phone game."
So since Max payne, and GTA III is nothing more than a glorified cell phone game, right? even though this is the exact same game's from rockstar that was on the PS2.
As a matter of fact:
Max Payne Mobile for Android has been fully optimized for the NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 quad-core mobile processor with additional antistrophic texture filtering and enhanced lighting effects providing one of the most visually immersive Max Payne Mobile experiences available.
that very same Tegra 3 processor chipset is in the OUYA!
Features:
• Max Payne's signature slow motion gunplay, Bullet Time®
• Stunningly sharp, HD quality resolution and textures
• Gameplay tailored for touch screen devices
• Highly customizable controls
• Multiple aiming modes
• Compatible with the GameStop Wireless Game Controller and select USB gamepads
• Integrated with Immersion Haptic Vibration Feedback
• Tailor your visual experience with adjustable graphic settings
• Unlock cheats, track your stats and more with full Rockstar Games Social Club integration
So yea, nothing more than Angry Birds Games are for Android!
Yeah personally not sold on this Ouya thing either...sounds really cool for developers but it's difficult to imagine it succeeding in the marketplace...guess we'll find out.
