Hideo Kojima Reflects on 25 Years of Metal Gear

Posted by Lorenzo Grajales // Blog Manager, Latin America -

One of the worst ways to realize you’re getting old is when something you hold dear reaches a certain age. That being said, Metal Gear celebrates its 25th anniversary this month.
The Metal Gear series, although not originally created for PlayStation consoles, began to reach its current level of popularity in 1998 when Metal Gear Solid was released on the original PlayStation (Fox Engine, Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, PS2, PS3, PSP, Retro, Xbox 360)

im surprised...
that konami have not released a metal gear rebirth game for the wii-ware. Considering they did a contra and castlevania rebirth. Metal gear rebirth seems fitting. Especially in respect to 25 years of Metal gear.

That would be a great throw back to those who were there from the beginning. Or at least who started with metal gear on the original nes/famicom.

Yes, you can just download a patch to get trophy support and full install on your existing copy of MGS4. Too lazy to get you a link but it's confirmed.

I congratulate Kojima for keeping stealth as his series' modus operandi even amidst these times....

We salute you kojima and I cannot wait to see the fox engine and its games running on the PS4 in the nnot too distant future. Your games have the greatest stories within our own solar system and I just hope you tease something soon upon the earth.
