Project P-100: Star of Wii U’s Weak Lineup

Although it sounds like a terrible name for a futuristic concept car that will never actually hit showrooms, Project P-100 is the title of a real video game being developed by Platinum Games (known for cult classics like Bayonetta and Okami). Set to release for the Wii U later this year, the game features superheroes, aliens, robots, and plenty of explosions. It’s sort of an amalgamation of several famous titles: it has an art style similar to Viewtiful Joe, gives the player a score and trophy at the end of each level just like Bayonetta, features a third-person isometric camera that reminds me of Diablo, and is somewhat reminiscent of a much more badass version of Pikmin.

"Weak lineup"?

Now I agree the Wii U's lineup isn't mind-blowingly awesome, but how can Pikmin 3, Mass Effect 3, ZombiU, New Super Mario Bros. U, Assassin's Creed 3, Rayman, Batman and Darksiders be considered "weak"? Not to mention all the downloadable digital games like Trine 2 and the obvious eventual future releases of heavy hitters like Zelda, Smash Bros, etc.

That's what I was going to say!
I think this system might have one of the best launch line-ups in quite sometime actually...
AC3, Batman AC, Pikmin 3, ZombiU, Trine 2, Rayman Legends, Rise of the Guardians, Madden 13, FIFA 13, Black Ops 2, DarkSiders 2,Tekken Tag 2, Lego City, Marvel Avengers, MassEffect 3, Aliens CM, Project P100, Ninja Gaiden 3 & (NSMB-U) for those that like that kind of Mario game, but I'm a Galaxy fan all the way. These aren't even all of the launch titles but just ones that might interest me mostly and I do realize that some of the games might come out within a month or two of the systems release but still, it's impressive though.

I was going to leave a longer comment, but I think you both just did it for me. Bubbles for you both good sirs.

The Wonderful 101 Hands On Preview - PixlBit

PixlBit | "I’m going to go on a limb here and say that The Wonderful 101 will be a sleeper hit for the Wii U. While it has garnered some noticeable hype within some audiences, it is an easy game to overlook. For those not sure about the game, it is best described as being a simple mesh of Viewtiful Joe and Pikmin. After spending some time with the game, I must say that it went from a just game that looked interesting, to game that I’m really excited about."

Makes me think of Fantastic Four or Super Friends.

Eh, I'll take it.
