I was all ready to hate on this writer until I actually read the article..it's pretty funny and an obvious poke at all the naysayers and doomsday predicters!
The Wiiu gamepad will surely change core gaming for the best, utilizing the screen to do things extremely fast like quick save and load or go into menu and select abilities instantly without wasting time upon the earth. The Wiiu gamepad is also beautifully design to fit the human arms which will allow comfort when playing for long hours. With the impressive wiiu controller we will be able to play games in ways mankind never imagine and it will help force microsoft to use the kinect v2 next gen better for core gaming.
I am no fan of the original Wii but the wiiu game pad if utilize properly can change the face of gaming regardless of the omnipotent PS4 coming soon.
the console does not add a significant leap in technology, tough nintendo fans says "but but nintendo is not about graphics is all about gameplay..." well with that argument people are trying to justificate nintendo's gimmicks
the console will bring to us a plethora of hd remakes and remakes of remakes of remakes and then some shitty games like mario land ,mario tenis, mario baseball, mario football, mario party 15(wtf!...), mario golf, mario galaxy...etc what a blockbuster list!
Smartphones, tablets and HDTVs are getting better and better consoles do not stand a chance anymore, consoles cycles are like 6 years old in comparison with say tablets is just 1 year and then the next is more powerful and so on
