The Last Story: Gears of Fantasy?

The Last Story is almost upon us. With two of the original Final Fantasy team members on board, this could shape up to be quite the game. Ryan Johnson at GoozerNation has been eyeing this one for a while, but sees a lot of influence from other games. Could this be a return to classic RPG stylings or a brand new approach on the genre? It's more like Mass Effect than Gears to be honest. Action wise.
