Sony XDev: LittleBigPlanet Vita "is the most definitive version of LBP yet."

TheGamingLiberty.com:

"TGL recently caught up with Sony Computer Entertainment XDev and LittleBigPlanet Producer Tom O’Connor to get the lowdown on what we can expect from LittleBigPlanet Vita ahead of it’s release later this year. We ask Tom about how the greater LBP experience compliments Vita’s unique functionality, what the Vita crucially adds to the experience and why LBP Vita is the most definitive LBP game on any platform to date." (LittleBigPlanet 2, PS Vita, PS3)

Very Excited for LBP Vita.
Welshy  +   301d ago
Me too, absolutely cannot wait!

In my opinion, the LBP community is the most friendly and talented out there, even LBP1 gets love with 1000's of new levels daily.

Can only imagine what great stuff they can do with LBP2 tools plus the new touch and motion features =)
Unexpecta  +   301d ago
Yup, LBP will get people noticing and further drive on the momentum to the PSVita train.
dafegamer  +   301d ago
who needs an app store when you have lbpvita
GribbleGrunger  +   301d ago
EXACTLY! We're no longer taking about half-hearted attempts at different genres either, we are talking about the real deal. Creators will make games with the Vita version that will convince anyone who happens to catch you playing them that we've downloaded a professionally made game from a big company. The beta was short and people just didn't have the heart to dedicate too much time to an idea, but even in the beta there were examples of what is possible.

I myself struggle to come up with ideas for LBP2 but for some reason I already have a dozen ideas for the Vita version and I know that at least one of those Ideas has never been done before... That excites me.

Im with you Bro ;)
I seriously hope that LBP Vita will make critics stop all this "handhelds are dead" or "Smartphones>Handheld& quot; talk especially considering the Vita Situation

Well of course they're going to say that.
GribbleGrunger  +   301d ago
They only repeat what the community says. Trust me, you and many others are NOT going to see what's coming until it hits you square between the eyes. Sony are giving the community what they need to create an App store for free. All you will need is ONE purchase and then you will never have to buy another phone or pad game again.

And the great thing is, even if you don't own the content from the many DLC packs that will inevitably come along, you can still play the games that use them. This has always been the strength of LBP and always will be.

I have my Vita and I'm ready for the revolution. WE ARE THE DEVELOPERS

It makes sense to say that, but maybe they are pushing LBP a bit much? I honestly think they want Sackboy to be their Mario, but there is LBP 1 and 2 on PS3, LBP Kart, LBP on PSP and now LBP on Vita.

I tend to look at LBP2 on PS3 as the best in the series. For me, I'll always prefer playing LBP on a large screen at home, where I have time to concentrate and create things.
King_many_layers  +   301d ago
Surely if it's comprehensive enough it could be played whilst you sit at home. A large screen has not stopped me from playing RE: Revelations and Uncharted: GA at home and nor will it stop me spending my time with LBPV at home for extended time periods.
GribbleGrunger  +   301d ago
And of course when the LBP2 DLC hits that allows for Vita integration, we'll be wanting to sit at home and design games with the Vita even more
r21  +   301d ago
looks to be that way. LBPV will let users go nuts with creativity :D

sure
sonic989  +   301d ago
very glad to hear that i was going to buy it anyway but the devs really did an amazing job squeezing LBP on a handheld and not only that but making it better than the ps3 version
that just shows that with determination everything can happen also the vita is a really powerful system
MasterCornholio  +   301d ago
This game will be incredible on the Vita and in my opinion it will be the king of platformers.

Give us a release date already! lol
GreenRanger  +   301d ago
I think they have said that it will be released some time in September.
Krew_92  +   300d ago
I hope so. It's annoying that we haven't gotten a release date.

Usually that means that they don't want to promise something, and disappoint.

I didn't hear anywhere about a September release though. Where did you hear that?

Closest I heard was Q3 2012. Which is July - September, but even that was removed from the Wiki. It now says a generic '2012' release date.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is my favorite game of this gen. I'm so excited for LBP PS Vita right now. I really can't wait to play the story mode and see what the community will come up with in the most definitive version of LBP yet! I believe this will be the best game on PS Vita for quite awhile.
