Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition sells 3 million copies

After breaking the first day sales records for XBLA and moving one million copies in its first week, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has reached another new milestone. According to Minecraft's creator, Markus Persson, the XBLA version of the game has now surpassed 3 million copies sold.

lol I don't think games are having a problem selling.One of the games i hope does well is sleeping dogs looks like they put alot of effort into it but I don't think it will sadly.

Minecraft on 360 has (in a few months) outsold the best-selling God of War on PS2 OR PSP OR PS3 - LIFETIME. Which is hilarious in itself.

But mommy, i thought the 360 was a dudebro console where games like Skyrim, Mass Effect, Minecraft, Fable, Dance Central didn't sell... I thought that only shooters sold well on the 360, mommy!

Oh wait, i remember now - Call of Duty is the best-selling game on PS3 too, and shooters on PS3 outsell all of Sony's exclusives.

Minecraft is a universal title...everybody likes it. I know guys who play nothing but COD that have been going nuts on Minecraft 360.

It is a nice game to have light hearted fun with friends, everyone can appreciate it. Yes, the PC version has more features, but the essence is there on 360 and that is really all you need.

Honda doesn't compete with Ferrari in sales. A Ferrari costs at least 10-20X what a Honda costs.

When it comes to games, they are nearly all similarly priced, and therefore, they are in direct competition.

Oh and Dance Central doesn't in fact sell. The second installment saw a pretty good drop in sales just like every othrr Kinect game released. Lol
