Default Prime guest writer Peter Tieryas gets into the final part of his Persona 3 retrospective where he discusses social links, music, and "Operation Babe Hunt."
Persona 3 takes place over a year and every day is split out into different time periods. As the characters age, get closer, or feud, you feel like you’re there at school with them, undergoing the journey they are, watching the seasons change. Very few games can immerse you at that level. Persona 3 succeeded and reminded me of what I loved about JRPG’s and games in general. Some have suggested JRPG’s are a dying breed. I beg to differ. I know Persona 3 is a few years old, but that same team is out there and when Persona 5 comes out, I will be one of the first waiting in line. I give big props to the development team at Atlus for bringing this work of genius to fruition.
Saad from eXputer: "I'm glad I don't have to choose between Square Enix, Atlus, and FromSoftware due to bad release windows and Shadow of the Erdtree."
The studio was on the verge of collapse when Persona 3 came out, and things were looking quite grim for Atlus. Regardless, many decisions made in the game paid off and became a staggering success.
Years ago, I was emulating the game on my laptop and the old thing died when I was about to get to the final boss. I'm more than happy to buy this remake when it comes out so I can finish it!
At the time I was immersed in SMT Nocturne and later DDS. I did not realize at all how important Persona would become for me years later.
Persona 3 FES was the first one that I played in the series. Looking forward to the remake.
