Microsoft's beleaguered entertainment and device division had been losing billions as it tried to gain traction in the marketplace. However Microsoft's extremely strong earnings which came out yesterday, showed the division's performance had doubled compared to the previous quarter. Microsoft CFO Liddell said that people are now spending more on games and accessories than they are for the underlying console. "We're now at a stage where we sell about 7 games per console and that's a record certainly for any console and relative to history." he said.
