More Leaked BF4 Info

It was about 48-72 hours ago that the news of Battlefield 4 beta was in the works to be released for those who preorder the new Medal of Honor: Warfighter video game…although it didn’t seem entirely legit at first because it was just a banner on Origin that could easily be photoshopped, but EA came through and confirmed it. So now that it’s confirmed to be in the works lets talk about the other possibilities that might be in store for us about Battlefield 4.

Sorry, hate to break it to you but both consoles are outdated as they're both holding back PC. If PS3 could pull of near-PC level graphics then it wouldn't be but alas, it can't.

That is the probably the most idiotic way of thinking. Consoles holding PC back? Really? I didn't know consoles tied PC to a crane and left it for dead. Consoles isn't holding PC back, DEVELOPERS are holding PC back. What's stopping a PC developer to make a fantastic great game? What game has visuals and gameplay that go hand in hand and is the best experience you can have? I'm sure there's plenty and nothing, Nothing is stopping PC from moving on from console to making a great game. If you want to blame anybody blame developers.

@Dms2012 neither PS3 or 360 are "out of steam" or outdated. Something outdated means its obsolete and that's clearly not the case when I'm hearing my friend is just enthusiastic over the new halo. I'm still gaming on my PS2 that is STILL a great outdated system along with my PS3 and still will play both even when PS4 comes out.

Hardware does not = software. There is very little considerable difference in how the two consoles perform hardware wise. Why do you think everything is a multiplatformer? Stuff like that wasn't present during the NES era ect.

Thats a ridiculous statement, the cell processor in the ps3 has a completely different structure and works in a different way between the cpu and gpu. One has an hddvd player and one has a blu ray. one has a hard drive the other has none.

Get a multiplatform game for both systems and tell me how significant the differences are. seriously the only way your going to be satisfied with my response is if I say that the ps3 is better. i said this back then and ill say it again 360 is Holding back ps3 and pc. no game on 360 matches anything that ps3 has produced over the years in terms of exclusive game but yea pc is the power house here and i feel if devs only focused on pc and ps3 this gen can actually last alot longer.

denonfreak hate to break it to you but

-ps3's have ylod (not on the same level as rrod, but still there regardless)
-ps3 owners would also buy another ps3 to replace a ylod unit if they had to
-bluray at the time was expensive and unproven hardware, on top of that ms would have to pay sony for it i believe, not a smart business move especially when this gen was starting
-360 has wired controllers, recharable batteries, and a plug n play addon that can cater to your distaste for AA batteries

only point i somewhat agree with, is your "disc scratcher" but even then it isnt bothersome for me cause i dont rattle my 360 when im playing games, the noise is barely recognizable aswell cause i install, and actually play with the volume up, that and the ppl talking to me through my headset distracts me fairly well from the "noisiness" of the 360

360s dated format gimped GTAIV for pertty much everyone.

I love the silly idea of bluray being an "unproven format" so I guess they needed a rocket scientist to tell them that games get bigger every generation they don't shrink. LMFAO! nevermind weather it was blu ray or not they clearly knew they couldnt use an old format and did it anyway. They had no problem gimping the whole genration to save a few bucks. hope it was worth it. Did u get enough MS juices to quench your thirst? Lol.

If PS3 has 2 years of life left in it then why do the graphics on BF3 look pretty much identical to 360's. Dice had a dedicated team working on the PS3 version of the game.

This back and forth on which is more powerful has gone from amusing to just plain exhausting. They will just come in and give you a list of exclusives that supposedly look better than anything on the 360. I have played them all, and while they look great, its nothing that couldnt be done on the 360 if you handed those developers a 360 dev kit and told them to go to work. Hell, I am playing Rage and I think its the best looking console game by far, and its multiplat AND plays better on the 360.

I wouldn't mind hearing about a NEW xb720 and ps4 but we still have games current to play. games like Madden 13 with the Infinity engine, NBA Live 13, NBA 2K13, The Last of Us, Beyond 2 Souls, God of War Ascension, Halo 4, GTAV, Crysis 3, and more i can't think of off the top. to me especially with the ps3 "these are just NOW getting good." psn: cedaridge / xbl: cedar4Thunder

EA has made it clear they have no intention of a yearly release. They made this clear before BF3 was even released. They do plan on making their current and new games (not just the BF series) to be a game with content after it...but plan to make sequels for those that need it. In this case they feel BF4 would be a wise choice because the numbers that BF3 brought in were about 30% higher than expected.

I'd except a new BF game every 3-4 years

Still arguing over PS3/360.

Both have different hardware.

But. both can render 4.4gpixels. exactly the same.
xbox360 can do more aa in games, because of edram.
PS3 can cull using spu's and also use spu's for other graphic tasks, dof,lighting etc.

Overall PS3 comes out on top if being done by a good dev with skillz.

360 comes out on top when game is multplat, using either unreal engine or first choice for game.

Both consoles produce very nice graphics and have some great looking and playing games.

Now the question, are consoles holding pc back. - If you think that is the case, then consoles will always hold pc back because of older tech.

Problem with PC is many configs,drivers, etc. Programmers pushing med to high. But not for ultra rigs imo. That's why alot of mods look way better.

I just finished Killzone3, and it was one hell of a ride. Some very sweet graphics, a.i is the best i've come across. It's just totally mental. Great game.

I heard a rumour BF4 has guns, but shh keep it on the low low/S.

All next gen games need.

Solid 60fps.
1080p with nice aa, prob fxaa. It's got alot better.
Plenty of ram
Better shadows, shaders in places.

How did this turn into a console war dispute? lol. Anyways, its too soon for another BF game, BF3 still has a lot of life left in it. I would hate to see this game be ruined with yearly releases, if it does eventually it will turn stale and soulless just like COD.
