AusGamers recently spoke with Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Game Director, Matt Tieger, about their forthcoming sequel as well as specifics on how they plan to write Dinobots into their series reimagining.
"Shockwave figures it out; he rediscovers it; starts looking through the cosmos for other worlds that he can steal energy from -- Energon -- and reboot Cybertron; he sees Earth," Tieger explains. "The twist is that he doesn’t see Earth today; he sees Earth when dinosaurs are stomping around, because that’s when this whole story is taking place -- millions of years in our past. So he sees these shapes; he catalogues them and thinks they’re kind of interesting, and then he realises that he can then convert Autobots into these shapes."
The interview also covers multiplayer, combat and pacing changes, plus much more...
While originally only the PlayStation and Steam stores were affected, now all the Transformers games on Xbox One and Xbox 360 have been delisted from the marketplaces.
Legend of Korra has been delisted from all marketplace stores as well. The rights expired with Activision.
Jason Stettner of Gamerheadquarters writes; "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron was a remarkable game, it continued the story line that War setup and presented players with the world of Cybertron which is often only mentioned in most media. "
Both 'War for' and 'Fall of' are really well made games. Much better than any of the movie licensed ones.
I love these games way better then the movie crap that was put out. Too bad the third game Rise of the Dark Spark sucked they had a great franchise going on with War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron.
Despite the franchise being almost perfect for a line of video games, many of the Transformers games have been mediocre or plain terrible.
"It’s not all bad new for fans though, because there is a new animated TV series based on the original Generation 1 series and toyline coming too."
I'd never heard of that. Would be interesting to see, tho.
