'Broken hearted' Suda "not comfortable with making Shadows of the Damned" says collaborator Mikami

Famed producer Shinji Mikami has shed some light on the development on commercial flop Shadows of the Damned suggesting collaborator Goichi Suda was “not comfortable” making the slapstick third-person shooter. (PS3, Shadows of the Damned, Xbox 360)

I skipped because played the demo and wasn't a fan of the art style and gameplay

you crazy man! this game is siiiick!
It's almost like a modern day ghost n goblins in a way.
One of the most overlooked games ever for me. Brilliant and fun game.

Absolutely this. I haven't finished it, but I loved everything about what I have played. Great style, design, sense of humor, and an ample challenge with very nostalgic PS2-era gameplay (if that makes any sense).

I skipped because every time I played a suda game I subconsciously begin stabbing myself.

The chemistry between the characters was so hilarious coupled with a great atmoshpere and soundtrack that rank pretty damn high with this generation's best.

The only flaw I felt in the game play was the melee attacks were a tad unresponsive at times but not to the point I got frustrated.

Cult classic.....

Shame, I really liked this game despite its shortcomings.

This game is awesome. That it didn't sell is a travesty. I don't even know what to say about it. It wasn't scary, but it was funny and creepy. One of the best imaginative, raunchy, entertaining and visionary romps through hell I've ever seen on video game format.

YOU ROCK SUDA!

This game was truly terrible. Horrid controls, toilet humor only an elementary school kid would find funny and some of the worse dialogue i have heard in a while.
Thank god for Gamefly!

Even compared to high-budgeted titles, this game had a lot more charm and fun factor to it. It is of course not as polished but the potential is clearly there. Give Mikami a AAA budget and he'll kick the gaming industry in the nuts just as he did with Resident Evil 4.

I loved every second of this game, underrared and overlooked gem.. I want to kill EA for not properly advertising this, suda (along with kojima, myamoto, kamya, mikami and platinum games overall are best devs for me)
