Dealspwn.com reports: "Gearbox believes that Borderlands 2 would be a "fantastic" fit for the Wii U, though publisher 2K will apparently be taking a "wait and see" approach when it comes to potentially porting the FPSRPG over to Nintendo's new console."
"We really like the Wii U," Gearbox co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Brian Martel told us after a Borderlands 2 hands-on preview session last week. "I think it's a really cool platform. I like what they're doing - obviously with the touchscreen - and it will be interesting to see what Microsoft do with their approach to that idea. It's one of those problems of the Wii: the only people who have ever made a lot of money on the Wii is Nintendo."
But I digress.
I really enjoyed the original Borderlands title, but switching weapons and upgrading character traits, was really non-intuitive. If there is a Wii U edition of Borderlands, local co-op would be a blast to experience (the player with the Wii U game pad controller, can play on their own screen, while the other player can use the Classic controller pro and have their own screen).
I'm glad Nintendo will have a digital downloading service for the Wii U on the day of its launch, because 3rd parties will be a lot more interested in releasing content on the Wii U.
EDIT: Love the dual screen idea Jadedz and Hisiru
I am sure I would prefer a WiiU version, it's not easy to change weapons and some other things on the regular controller, so the WiiU Gamepad would be a good fit.
So I disagree with you. If you watched some IGN hands on you will notice that people who demonstrated the games don't even needs to look at the screen because they already know where everything is.
So this excuse doesn't really work. The thing is: You will have easy access to your inventory, weapons etc, which would be great for this game. I know the second screen on the DS is very close to the other screen but I never really had to look at it in order to use some shortcuts because I know where the shortcuts are and I got used to it.
Even if you have to use your inventory (and choose some weapon) you can be fast enough to do that (while running from enemies) and it's probably more fun than pause the game.
But I got the original on 360, and would like to carry over my save....-_-;
And then there is the possibility of a vita version?
I can't get the same game 3 times in less than a year. That would be kind of... dumb...(of course, I am willing to get mh3g a second time...>.>)
BUT as a Nintendo fan (not to hate on Nintendo games), I am going to try and make it a priority to buy WiiU 3rd Parties at Launch before buying the Nintendo title I know I want.
I feel in this generation, we really have the CHANCE to change the Bad relationships Nintendo has been having with 3rd Parties (since N64).
I think that our early support could affect the Next Gen. and effect sincere efforts to multi-port from PS4/720. If things don't change now- it probably will get worse in the next 2 Gens.
