Release date? This looks fantastic!
Fantastic looking graphics... Nintendo needs to make them a 2nd party developer.
Wow... and just when I thought all racing games were starting to look the same.
I have been seeing all these Project CARS articles saying how beautiful it looks, look at these gorgeous shots of such & such, but when is the game actually coming out? I am just saying if this was like Gran Turismo this game would be put through the ringer with all this teasing. I hope this game is successful cause it looks great but enough with the teasing.
http://www.wmdportal.com/ Slightly Mad Studios from my understanding isn't backed by a major publisher. GT5 was backed by Sony heavily, and given all the time Polyphony wanted. It was a different situation. (Although I never thought the excess in which the complaining about GT5 got to was warranted.) It says it's supposed to be released mid 2013, not sure if that's just the PC release or all platforms but either way I'm sure it's going to be an excellent driving sim when it comes for whatever platform.
if it was GT the game would have been shredded to death in reviews. Not all games are as great as 'Forza' series.
Wow this looks stunning!
Best graphics ever
Eh, I wouldn't go that far. Top notch - no doubt, though.
Best visuals amongst racing games, sure.
Agree there. Among driving / racing, there's no equal. Edit: The disagrees are telling, because I was completely misunderstood. I look at humans and environments when judging the best looking games (in absolute). While this game certainly is in a class by itself for cars, it's not the best looking title I've seen overall (the original Crysis still takes that for me). Either way, my PC should be able to max that without much hassle. i7 2600K EVGA GeForce GTX 680 16GB RAM 1TB HDD
This is true high-end PC graphical power here.
@ specialguest It boggles my mind that at the time of this comment, everyone has disagreed with your statement. I don't understand why. This is obviously running on a mid to high end pc. Why can't people just accept it? Freaking tards man.
I'm pretty sure my comment didn't conflict with PC gamers, so I could only assume that it was certain console gamers that didn't like what I stated. I too have no clue about the disagrees, but I don't really care since I'm used to the way things are on n4g. Lol, I'm pretty sure I got tagged for trolling at least by one of those disagreers too for no damn reason.
some people just hate pc
Great visuals for sure. How good is the physics/driving model though?
It's a race simulation. Not Need For Speed.
The in-game engine is a modified version of what was used for N4S Shift 2. More realistic in terms of handling, tire quality, how the cars feel, etc.
Those shots are fantastic!
Is this an exclusive game for the Wii U or is it just a regular multi-plattform game?....by the way this game is looking stunning...DANM!
Its PC atm, but I think a console release is planned.
I guess this would be next gen, thank you for the response.
According to Slightly, pCars will be also coming to Wii U, PS3 and X360. The WiiU will most probably be identical (in terms of graphics) to the PC version, while the PS3 and X360 might have lower quality graphics
do you really expect next gen console games to look like that? sony,ms,nintendo would have to build a 600+ console. i don't think consumers are wanting another one of those anytime soon.
I feel really happy to see those developers of racing games in general who are pushing to improve and progress on the really important background stuff that we may all take for granted in this genre. Just hope to see them all incorporated sometime in the very near future. ( like the perfect differing weather sim, great night lighting for cars and surroundings, real-world tarmac imperfections, vehicle crashes, glass breakage, bodywork crumple physics.. ) any others?
Those graphics are sick. It's time to upgrade to PC.
