The basis of the Item Price Checker is to allow players an easy to use tool that will quickly and accurately provide a base value for any item found within Diablo 3. This will provide a solid baseline for with which to price your item to sell it quickly and efficiently, without having to list, re-list, and re-list an item over days in the Auction House (AH).
