Console XP: Watch Dogs Preview

Jonathon Wilson wrote: "E3 2012 has come and gone and left us eagerly awaiting the arrival of a lot of big titles. Most of the games shown at E3 where either sequels or reboots, with the exception of Sony and Ubisoft showing The Last of Us, Beyond Two Souls and Watch Dogs (WATCH_DOGS) three brand new new IPs.
Ubisoft managed to shock everyone with the reveal of WATCH_DOGS not just because the game looks amazing and has an intriguing concept, related to modern fears but because it’s a completely new IP. One of the most shocking revelations about the game was, Ubisoft has been working on the game for 2 years already without any details surfacing prior to E3. Nobody had a clue that Ubisoft was working on a new IP, making WATCH_DOGS E3 2012s biggest surprise." (PC, PS3, Watch Dogs, Xbox 360)

I swear, this game is one of the most overrated in history, everyone is raving about the graphics. The gameplay looks so uninteresting and bland.

I'm looking forward to it but i don't think it will be the best game ever or my personal favorite.

Who said it was about the graphics? Maybe people like it for the characters, animations, the gadgets you can use and interact with the open world with, the focus on realistic gun battles, and story premise.

People having interest in the game makes it over-rated?

That is some interesting logic. Honestly I hear more about Blops 2 and GTA5 than I hear about this. I haven't seen a thing about until this since E3.

I don't see how it can be one of the most overrated games considering it was only announced last month. People showing interest in a new game isn't a bad thing and it's not only the graphics that seems to stand out. The games set up, character and gameplay all look good, the ability to hack into a super computer and manipulate the system to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles.

Graphic aren't everything but you cant take away from the games visuals.

In terms of gameplay it's a new approach.. I like the idea of open world with "hacking" a mix between GTA and Deux Ex... I like it

it looked good to me.

Hmmm it looks like he Watch Dogs trailer took place between State St & Lake St with a dash of Dearborn. All I can say is that I'll know my way around better than most.

"Sigh"...what a good feeling it is!
