Right there with you man... As I was watching this video it came clear that if I was playing I probably wouldn't suspect Joel's friend so far just to feel betrayed in this scene and start to not trust other survivors even if they are supposedly friendly.

Now I just won't trust anyone, kinda robbing me of that surprise and change of heart in the game... And I have no one to blame but myself. Not watching anymore TLOU videos, gonna save those emotions for the game.

In an environment where the average IQ is dropping almost yearly, where the most mundane things are championed as something great (i.e. Obama, Avengers, Justin Beiber, etc...), having more disagrees than agrees is a compliment. and it becomes ever more apparent...especially on internet 'forums' like this one.

I am looking forward to this game, but that scene wasn't impressive. It was a cut scene. A cut scene with a cliche scenario and cliche dialogue. The girl constantly cursing was a cheap way of empowering the character that you don't play (this girl). Just like most naughty dog games, this doesn't inspire any type of depth or feel to the characters because naughty dog doesn't have good story tellers.

Shower me with disagrees, call me a troll. whatever. it doesn't change reality. and the reality is that if naughty dog games were movies (which they almost are anyway), they would be B movies. they are a guilty pleasure, they are somewhat enjoyable, but nothing about them is classic, or memorable, or ground breaking.

Oh, and btw. feeling this way about a game (despite what the masses (the n4ps3 majority) think) doesn't automatically make you a 360 fanboy.

No, the reality is that Naughty Dog are VIDEO GAME developers and their games are indeed GAMES not movies. Most if not all video games won't make a great or classic movie story wise seeing as most stories in video games are taken or inspired from movies to begin with.

But what do I know. My "IQ is dropping almost yearly." Mr. Spydiggity is the one that apparently knows it all. I shouldn't question him.

And I strongly disagree with ND not being great storytellers. Yeah, their stories aren't anything new, but how the story is told is what I like most about ND's games.

Your opinion is your reality, thats fine.... However, I'm pretty sure the general consensus would say you are suffering from a Reality Distortion Field (RDF)... Especially to say "nothing" about them is classic, memorable, nor ground breaking is truly absurd.

Ellie is a feisty one isn't she...didn't think I would like her character but got to admit I'm liking her so far. Although I have a hunch that her character will do something because of that personality which will get them both in trouble where Joel will have to save her...maybe some dramatic tension between the two, maybe she could enrage Joel to his breaking point....who knows

Wow did not realize how stupid ps3 fan boys are. This game is running on a high end PC as seen by it's lighting, antilising, and resolution. Non of which are capable on ancient hardware like your shit ps3. If you have seen in a recent interview with the producer, he said that the lead platform is on PC. Which means the"PC VERSION WILL BE SUPERIOR" dumbasses #FACt.

For the most part, all he does is pretends to be fanboy of a platform and write inane comments.
Here's another gem from him (about the Samaritan demo) which illustrates it:

Never understood the obsession with the "GOTY moniker" personally. If you like a game, then simply enjoy it...whats the point of asserting that a game that you probably haven't played yet will be the best of the year?

After buying Skyrim and RDR(supposedly the last two GOTY winners from what I hear) and selling them back within a couple of days of buying them, I don't understand what significance a GOTY label has towards my enjoyment of a game.

The GOTY thing seems to be VERY prevalent on N4G for some reason.

The reason for a GOTY award is the same reason there is an Oscar or an Emmy. Its validation as well as recognition for the creators that what they created was a crowning achievement of the medium. Its also great as a fan to know that the game that you enjoy so much is getting the praise you know it deserves.

Might very well be. I'm seeing this game having that Uncharted 2 impact. A lot of good games are coming out next year though. Based on what we know about the games coming out so far it's between this and GTA5 assuming it's coming out next year.

Based on the Uncharted series and Naughty Dog, i'll say a yes to that. There are a lot of great games coming out next year, but this game stands above. I see it getting MANY GOTY awards easy. In fact, i don't see this game not getting a GOTY award.

We are also going to see new hardware and with that comes amazing new software.
