Borderlands 2 is a “60 to 70 hour game”

IncGamers: Brian Martel, executive producer on Borderlands 2 and co-founder of Gearbox Software, has said that the upcoming ‘role-playing shooter’ will take most players 60 to 70 hours to complete.

In an interview with IncGamers, Martel said that Borderlands 2 is about double of what was offered in the original. (Borderlands 2, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Right?? The first one took me a good 60+ hours to beat PLUS multiplayer goodness. Over 100 hours of skag killing fun...well worth my $7.50 (thank you, Steam!).

That's like playing CoD's story mode 60 or 70 times... except you'll be having fun.

... now the question is whether it'll remain fun for 60 to 70 hours.

Let's hope so. I put in over 100h playing splitscreen with my wife on this game including all but one of the expansion packs and it was one of the best gaming experiences I've enjoyed this console generation. I'm very much looking forward to the second, but can they keep it fresh?

What I'd do to have a wife or girlfriend who plays video games with me. You lucky bastard.

awesome just another reason to continue supporting Gearbox. They are also one of the few devs who understand what DLC is supposed to be which is not locked content on the disc but a actual addition to the game you already released.

So 30-40hrs in real time

Developers like to over exaggerate.

I don't have enough fingers to count how many times I'v beat a game a developer said how long it takes to complete.

Every gamer plays differently, so that number obviously differs with every person. Some may take longer and some may take less time, depends on how they play. Some like exploring every nook and cranny, while others like to just run through everything. There are so many different things that can effect the number of hours it can take to complete a game, so its really just an estimate based on content and play tests.
Tsuru  +   313d ago
They overestimate. Me, i could probably do it in 40-50.
Skate-AK  +   313d ago
I could probabaly double that since I like to listen to every line of dialog.
LAWSON72  +   313d ago
If its like borderlands one there will be hardly any dialogue. It is not like a bioware game with crap tons of dialogue
