Mass Effect, Skyrim, Metroid: 20 video games that should be movies

Digital Spy writes: "Films based on video games generally don't fare so well critically, but Michael Fassbender starring in and producing an adaptation of Assassin's Creed sounds promising.

"Need for Speed was recently slated to hit cinemas in 2014, while rights for a Deus Ex movie have been acquired and Splinter Cell looks to be getting the film treatment.

"With all these recent developments - and also the fact that Resident Evil and Silent Hill sequels are prepping for release this year - Digital Spy takes a look at 20 possible titles and franchises that could feasibly work on the big screen with the right amount of consideration and care."
