5 Ways To Make The Next Elder Scrolls Game Awesome

Forbes - With a few small changes, the next Elder Scrolls could actually be as fun as this image makes it look. (Culture, Elder Scrolls)

"I realize that the game has been toned (dumbed?) down for casual players, but this is an RPG and it deserves better customization of stats."

So true

The problem is that theres not a lot of variation in Skyrim

For example why can't I change the colour of my armor, people who use Light Armor always get horrible looking armor, I would like to customize Glass armor or Elven so it looks like Ebony armor, obviously with a good skill though

Skills should be more rewarding in this game. I'm not saying restrict a feature to a high skill but make it so if you want more out of that feature you need to get a higher skill.

How about adding more mage related stuff to reward you with if you decide to go with a mage character. I think only mages should be allowed to use more powerfull unique staffs or spells. Another good one for mages would be to get rid of the need for Soul gems for your staffs, if your such a powerful mage then you shouldn't need to keep refilling your staffs...hell they could make it so Azuras Star makes it so you don't need to do it anymore.

Thiefs aswell need more rewards for going along that path. Bring back the Athletic and Acrobats skill, join them together and make theifs able to climb houses, climb up moutains without mashing the Y button, dodge attacks. It would add other unique ways to complete a mission. Lets say you need to get an item from someone. A warrior would have to battle his way through a tower to get it, a thief could just climb the walls to get to the top. Hell even when your being chases by the guards climbing could be a good way to vanish.

Spell variation is needed. We have Fire, Frost and Shock but it's so boring, wheres Earth spells, Wind, Water, poison for example. Why can't I turn someone to stone or turn them into a tree/plant by some ancient Woodelf magic. You get the idea.

I would love it if they added a crafting skill that would join onto smithing. So you can make your own homes, wether it's by stealing other peoples materials from their houses (theif), exploring dangerous caves with high level creatures in (warrior) or using spells to create houses (mage). Theres a massive flat land outside of Whiterun which would be perfect for building on. You could have an underground basement linking into the nearest city or create a massive wizard like tower so you can have a nice view of your surroundings.

I just hope they add something where after collecting unique iteams you have somewhere to show them off. If you need another manequim you can create one, if your need a weapon rack you can make that aswell and put it where ever you like so you can have rooms to show them off instead of relying on chests.
