Geometry Wars is one of the most charming success stories of the last few years in British game development. Born of love and making its public debut as an Easter egg in the Xbox game Project Gotham Racing 2, it has since become one of the most downloaded titles on Xbox Live Arcade, and spread its laser-spewing wings atop Nintendo's current generation of hardware with Geometry Wars: Galaxies.
Bizarre and Kuju trace the classic British shooter from humble tech demo beginnings to Nintendo conqueror.
Darren writes: "At a glance, you’d assume Geometry Wars had been around for decades, originating in the arcades alongside classics such as Space Invaders and Pac-Man. It had that classic formula, looking and feeling like a retro staple of the gaming world."
It turns out that the unyielding onslaught of enemies and obstacles in Geometry Wars provides a pretty accurate metaphor describing a typical day in a corporate office. This article may help to make sense of, and almost find comfort in, the day-to-day insanity.
ThisGenGaming says "Check your Xbox One ready to install lists if you have Geometry Wars Evolved as the game is now backwards compatible on the Xbox One. Geometry Wars Evolved originally released as an arcade title in 2005 on the Xbox 360."
This was on the list since day one...
It was the first title that I downloaded and played to test out Backwards compatibility, when it was only available in the preview program.
I think I did that the night of E3 when they announced it was going live to all preview program participants.
Did they take it down at some point and it's just now coming back?
Maybe it's been gone and I didn't realize it because I already had it downloaded, but it was definitely there from the beginning for me.
Edit: Yeah that is exactly what happened. It never made the final list, it was just in the preview program.

Um, yay? I mean, it's great for those that have the game but this is another title that really isn't too high on the votes I don't think.
At the very least, an update on titles announced months ago would be nice.
is it me , or does it look washed out on X1? like the brightness was turned up too much?? it doesnt have that crisp vector line pop like it does on the 360.....
