Mouse of the Future? North Carolina Students Navigate PCs with Glove

Ever wondered if there was an easier way to control all your favorite devices? Something easy to use and intuitive, at once inconspicuous yet stylish? Something to revolutionize how you access technology?

That "next cool thing" is in the works, thanks to a course in N.C. State University's College of Engineering and the innovative minds of a few of its students.

"We're calling it the Manus Glove," said Ameir Al-Zoubi, a senior in computer science at N.C. State and member of the four-student team who developed the device. "Basically, it is the mouse of the future."

I am kinda mixed on this one.

On one hand (pardon the pun), i can definitely see many different motions and gestures that could be utilized to act as different functions. Literally could grab and move windows around, simple twitch of a finger to click, and so on. I'd like to see this.

On the other hand, if this isn't implemented correctly, and too much movement is required of the hand wearing this, it easily could lead to discomfort in the wrist and/or some carpol tunnel related issue.
