PSO2 Hilariously Hacked, Sega Blames Angry Westerners

Like many video games, Phantasy Star Online 2 makes use of NPCs to advance gameplay. Whether they’re there to provide important information, to trigger a quest, or whatever else, the game makes use of these characters in a way that seems pretty negligible most of the time. Of course, once you’re unable to interact with them, it can get pretty annoying. Ever have an event-dependent Skyrim character fall through the map?

Think of that, but a little bit worse. It appears someone was having fun at the expense of their fellow PSO2 players, hacking the game and moving many of the NPCs around the map a little bit.

Actually, I was just thinking how the (SEGA Of Japan) devs for this game should have coded something to prevent this game breaking stuff.

I do not know about the whole SEGA situation so I can't comment on that for now.
