Destructoid - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD feels like classic Tony Hawk

Destructoid - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 were the bomb. Hard to believe the former only came out in 1999. Unfortunately, the series quickly spiraled away from being the bomb and, in more recent years, toward being a laughing stock that Activision has been so sure people are going to eventually buy en masse after realizing the error of their ways.

Fortunately for us, Activision seems to have realized that this strategy is not working (also not working: making bad games and expecting them to sell well, especially against Skate). Accordingly, we’re getting Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD in about a week's time as a $15 downloadable amalgam of the first two games in the franchise. (PS3, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, Xbox 360)

I've played pretty much all the THPS's. I don't think I could do another one lol

Now we just need an all new game that plays exactly like THPS2.

Yea I liked those games because it made you think like a skate boarder and chose good lines. No nine minute million point combos.

after activision milked this series to death with very little changes (sound familiar) i will never spend a cent on this series again. besides why play TH when you can play .skate. the difference can be best demoed by looking at the replays. one looks like an arcade game, the other looks like an actual skate video.

and now activision get to milk it all over again, gotta love reboots
