Halo 4 live action movie budget rumored to be $5-10 million

Neowin: "In April, Microsoft announced plans to release Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, a live action movie project designed to help promote their upcoming Halo 4 first person shooter game for the Xbox 360 console. Today, more details were revealed about those plans, along with a rumor about the movie's budget."

Why though? its the 4th game in the series, Halo fans are gonna know about H4 and have probably made there mind up already if there going to buy it or not

Good way to waste money MS

Edit: Your missing my point, why advertise something that doesnt need advertising?

This will explain to you why it's not a waste of money.

1.Spend $10 million to show the potential a Halo movie has to the movie studios.

2.Then the studios can invest $200-$300 million to make the movie which will in turn make $450+ million.

3.Steal underpants

4. Profit

I'm not complaining. I've loved all the live action Halo shorts MS have backed and this one seems awesome. I mean, come on. It's a 90+ minute series about Halo. And it's free. I see no reason to complain.

Cause no matter how good something is, Advertisement is the subliminal message that reminds people about it & sways them to buy it .

They'll cut some scenes and splice together a live action vid commercial prior to releasing Halo 4. I remember seeing the ODST & Reach vids everyday in the month or so before release. And they turned out great too.

I imagine Halo 4 will probably be amongst the most advertising they've ever done for a game in the series if they are going this far to produce a short film.
