Well for continuities sake....Vasquez is dead... This DOES take place 17 days after aliens....but then again it's just multiplayer.

Who exactly is clamoring for this? Unless you're playing as the main female bad ass from the Alien Quadrilogy Ellen Ripley then really no one cares, I think they're trying to make their own story with their own unique written characters and if that includes females then so be it.
