$99 Game Console To Launch March 2013 - SPECS

The Ouya will run an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor (just like the Nexus 7), 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage.

That’s not a ton of space for games if you’re talking about full-blown, immersive console-quality titles, but there is a USB 2.0 port onboard as well, which should make hooking up an external hard drive possible.

Ouya will also feature 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and an HDMI output will push 1080P video to your HDTV or monitor.

Does this stand a chance against a $400-$500 PS4 and Xbox 720 next year? I think it does. This will be a hit for the casual gamer that loves cheap android games.

It's a TOTALLY different segment of the consumer base. I wouldn't mind having one of these babys to complement my PS3 though.

Most likely it will munch on the (huge) casual gamer base of the Wii. For a 99$ it's a non-brainer for impulse buyers.

Who doesnt wanna play gunshadow instead of gears, deadspace and uncharted. Plus if emulators do hit this thing the lawsuit from the big 3 isnt far away.

Those specs just kinda underwhelmed me. I mean I looked at them and then at the latest HTC phones... Blinked a bit and thought "I guess its impressive...sorta..."
