Do Long Hours of Gaming Really Hurt Your Eyes?

GamerFitNation: When I was younger, I was always told by adults to limit the amount of time playing video games-especially during summer break-in fear that my vision would become strained. However, I never considered the implications of the warning until recently. After all, how could too much gaming hurt my eyes, if I could somehow keep playing and still maintain good eyesight without the use of glasses or contacts.

I needed glasses after one month I played Assassins Creed 2 after I got a PS3 on Xmas of 2009,
The problem was that I didn't have an HDTV and I really needed to go closer on the screen since I couldn't read anything, eventually I woke up with my vision blurry. I'm still think I can get my vision acuity back because I still can't accept it.
